November 2022
Ready to deep dive? Check out our November product update webinar recording where our Technical Account Management team walks you through each new feature:
New Feature: Coupon Reservation
Prior to this release, if a user would like to limit how many times a code can be reserved, it has to be done through the Management API. This release enables users to create this coupon reservation directly in the Rule Builder using the ‘Create coupon code reservation effect’. See more details in the documentation
New Feature: New Management API: Transferring Loyalty Data Between Cards
When a customer loses a loyalty card, all data on the old card needs to be transferred to a new one. You can now use the Transfer loyalty card data Management API endpoint to support that use case. This removes the dependency on third-party solutions to transfer card data. See more details in the documentation
New Feature: Link Customer Profiles In Loyalty Card Details
A new tab called ‘Linked customers’ is now available under the Loyalty Cards Details page. This enables easy access to customer profile info and allows users to perform more complex loyalty program management. See more details in the documentation
New Feature: Create Audiences In Campaign Manager
Previously, to create Audiences, users need to use Integration API endpoints, or through third-party customer data platforms. This new feature allows users to create Audiences directly in the Talon. One product interface.
Feature Enhancement Main Ledger and Subledger Usage in Loyalty Programs
When a loyalty program is created with subledgers, balances of the main ledger are now available in the palette. This feature enhancement gives flexibility to users to operate with more loyalty program attributes and improves the user experience.
Feature Enhancements:
Loyalty cards: Each loyalty card now shows to which customer profile it is connected.
Customer profiles: The dropdown in the loyalty points tab when no profile-based program connected to it.
Rule Builder: You can now see the profileRedemptionCount (coupon) attribute in the palette.
Loyalty program dashboard: Improved title section spacing.
October 2022
Ready to deep dive? Check out our October product update webinars recording where our Technical Account Management team walks you through each new feature:
New Feature: Loyalty Cards
A loyalty card is a digital or plastic card, normally the same size as a typical credit or bank card. Benefits of a loyalty card may include a percentage off the purchase, points toward a store gift certificate, or sale prices on certain items.
A Talon. One Loyalty Card allows you to add and subtract loyalty points to a unique ID that is not attached to a specific customer. This provides you with more flexibility and options to structure your loyalty programs, such as family cards or shared points.
Feature Enhancement: Campaign Template Placeholder Inheriting Attribute Picklist
In some use cases, allowing users to freely type in values when creating a campaign from a template can lead to costly errors. By limiting certain use cases to only allow users to select from predetermined values and make the smallest changes to the campaign, Talon. One admin users get more granular control over the power users and ensure better security of the campaign management.
More Feature Enhancements:
Management API: When creating a new Management API key and selecting which endpoints can be accessed with each key, you can view the HTTP method of the available endpoints.
Effects: Parameters of custom effects now support the list of strings data type.
Management API: The Create coupons asynchronously endpoint no longer has a minimum limit. It can now be used for smaller batches.
